To make it easier for you to find the courses and dates you require, we have now added our Current Course Availability page detailing current courses that are on our schedule and available dates when any course can be scheduled for you. Availability is always subject to bookings received.
If the dates you are interested in are not shown please email us for availability of a yacht and instructor and we will set the course up for you.
Yachtmaster Ocean is the pinnacle of the RYA Sail Cruising & Yachtmaster Scheme. In addition to this theory course there are criteria to be met before sitting the RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Ocean examination but, once this is passed, you are considered to be a “Global Sailor” sufficiently qualified to take a yacht anywhere in the world in any conditions.
A pre-course minimum experience level of coastal & offshore sailing is suggested, and it is assumed you have a pre-course experience level of navigation to Coastal Skipper & Yachtmaster Theory
Once you have completed this theory course you may wish to add a further week with us taking our Yachtmaster Ocean Preparation course that puts all the theory into practice with experienced instruction on how to prepare for your non stop ocean passage required for examination.

Optional Online Course
We are pleased to advise we work closely with Navathome. For the delivery of all RYA Online Theory Courses.
Before opting for the lower cost Online option please consider the considerable benefits of face to face, real time teaching which offers the significant benefit of being able to ask questions and receive immediate answers. This is particularly important at this level.
Course Content: Syllabus Details
Course Schedule: 09:00 to 17:30 daily.
Ability after Course: Thorough knowledge of all theory topics relating to global passage making and astro navigation.
Availability: All year round Sundays to Thursdays.
