All sailors have a soft spot for the Solent, that tricky “motorway of water” that separates the Isle of Wight from the UK mainland.
All racing sailors have an even bigger soft spot, and we are no exception, for Cowes on the Isle of Wight. This is the home of many famous yacht racing events, the pinnacle of which is Cowes Week.
However, there is great action to be had in many other locations across Europe.
