Azzurra is a fully race prepared Grand Soleil 43 for all the top Mediterranean regattas and offshore races. She has a carbon boom, and carbon spinnaker pole. She also benefits from a redesigned racing keel featuring a fully faired stainless steel fin and cast iron bulb, and a redesigned carbon rudder. Both giving the boat extra performance for no rating penalty. Check out her programme below.
The Grand Soleil 43 has been designed to impress in the harbour and win on the race course. Great attention has been paid to the ergonomics onboard, as well as the use of the best deck equipment, thus generating extraordinary ease of steering and handling in any wind or sea state.
Created by one of the most successful America’s Cup designers of recent times, Marcelino Botin, the Grand Soleil 43 can proudly boast some of the finest performances ever recorded in all the major worldwide regattas to this day. Azzurra is the 2014 Grand Soleil Cup Champion.
She sports a suit of carbon and kevlar racing sails, S1 and S4 symmetrical spinnakers and a furling code zero. For 2017 she will have a brand new S4 kite and J3 Kevlar Jib.
